Which countries are supported?

How does tax calculation work?
The Sharkforce payroll engine calculates federal income tax, state and provincial taxes, Social Security, Medicare, CPP, EI, GOSI, and contributions based on each employee's jurisdiction, filing status, and earnings. Thresholds, wage bases, and brackets are applied automatically. Mako, the in-product AI copilot, answers questions about specific paychecks in plain language but does not replace the deterministic tax engine.
Can employees see their pay stubs?
Yes. Employees access the portal for YTD summaries, pay stub details with earnings and deductions, and PDF downloads. Mobile access included.
Is there an audit trail?
Every payroll action is logged immutably: before-and-after values, timestamps, actor, IP, user agent. Bank-file downloads additionally record a per-download UUID and a SHA-256 content hash so a leaked file can be traced back to its specific download event.
